This page explains what information YouDrink collects, how we use it, and who we share it with. It applies to the YouDrink website and the YouDrink iOS and Android apps.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, and optionally your name and a profile photo, when you sign up with Google or with an email and password.
• Location: with your permission, your device's precise location while the app is open and in use, so we can show venues and events near you. We don't track your location in the background, and you can revoke this at any time in your device or browser settings.
• Payment info: if you upgrade to Pro, your card details are collected and processed directly by Stripe — we never see or store your full card number. We store your Stripe customer and subscription IDs to manage your billing.
• Usage data: favorite venues, drink preferences, and interests you set inside the app.

How we use it

• To show you nearby venues, live events, and entertainment on the map and in search results.
• To manage your account, sign-in sessions, and Pro subscription billing.
• To send Pro subscribers the Trending Venues & Live Events alert and the Vibe Digest email, and transactional emails like sign-up verification and password resets.

Who we share it with

• Stripe — payment processing for Pro subscriptions.
• Google — if you sign in with Google.
• Amazon Web Services — authentication, data storage, and email delivery.
• Google Places and Ticketmaster — the sources of venue and event data shown in the app; we don't share your personal data with them.
• We don't sell your personal data to anyone.

Data retention & deletion

• We keep your account data for as long as your account is active.

Data security and transfers

• We use encryption in transit and at rest to protect your data. Because we host on Amazon Web Services, your information may be stored on servers outside your home country; by using YouDrink you consent to that transfer.
• If a security incident affects your personal information, we'll notify you and any relevant authorities as required by law.

Your privacy rights

• Depending on where you live (for example, the EU or California), you may have rights to access, correct, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these, contact us at the email below.

Age restrictions

• YouDrink is intended only for people who are of legal drinking age in their jurisdiction. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under that age.
