YouDrink vs Yelp Events
Yelp is a business review directory that also lists some local events, built around ratings and reviews for every kind of business.
YouDrink is built specifically around what's happening at a bar or venue right now — live music, DJ sets — not a star rating from six months ago.
How YouDrink is different from Yelp
Real-time vibe badges, not static reviews
YouDrink shows what's happening at a venue right now — a live band on stage, a DJ set starting — instead of a review written weeks or months ago.
Nightlife-specific filtering, not broad categories
Filter directly by DJ or live music. Yelp's categories span every kind of business, from plumbers to pizza places, with nightlife as just one slice.
Same-night discovery, not advance planning
Open YouDrink and see who's live tonight on the map. Yelp Events listings skew toward events posted days or weeks ahead, not a live view of right now.
Invite friends with one link, not just a personal review
Share any venue with friends and see instant Yes/No/Maybe RSVPs. Yelp is built for reading someone else's review, not coordinating who's actually showing up.
